How to Vote
What am I running for?
I am putting my name forward to be the Conservative Party of Canada candidate in the next federal election. If I’m successful, I will be the Conservative Party candidate on the ballot when the next federal election is called.
How do I vote?
The candidate is selected by a secret ballot vote of all the Conservative Party members in Don Valley West riding. The current Rules and Procedures for Candidate Nomination Contests were approved by National Council on December 27, 2017. It is expected that these rules may be changed prior to the next round of nomination contests due to COVID-19 considerations for in-person voting. Check back here for updates once the rules are approved.
When and where will the vote be held?
The dates of the nomination contest dates, and whether voting will be "in-person" or by mail-in ballot, will be determined by the National Candidate Selection Committee (NCSC) in conjunction with the Candidate Selection Committee (CSC) of the Don Valley West Electoral District Association. We will update this page as soon as we have more information!
How can I check if my membership is valid?
You can check your membership at:
To use this site you will require your membership number and postal code. If you do not know your membership number, the best thing to do is to call the national service desk at 1-866-808-8407.
Do I need my membership card to vote?
No! The Party will ask that you provide ID to prove your identity and address - basically the same requirement as if you were voting in a general election. They will use that to verify your name against the membership list.
