Yvonne Robertson has lived in Don Valley West for over 20 years, where she has grown an international business and raised a family.  She is a proud small business owner, Torontonian, mother, community advocate and Conservative.

Having grown up in the Toronto area, she has a key understanding of its’ issues. Community involvement is incredibly important to Yvonne, and she is a constant leader in local projects and events, whether it be school sports games or neighbourhood watch meetings. It is through this deep involvement that she has developed a solid grasp on the varied experiences and concerns of her community. Yvonne ultimately aspires to empower her community and resolve its issues, through strong leadership.

As someone who has dedicated her life to growing her business and serving her community, Yvonne is aspiring to public office to enact positive change where she lives and to make Canada a better place for future generations to pursue their dreams and ambitions.

As a student, Yvonne spent hours rowing and swimming to many victories at regattas and swim meets in Ontario. This experience taught her the importance of discipline and focus. Yvonne then obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Bishop’s University, in Lennoxville, Quebec and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University of London.

In 1997, Yvonne began her professional career leading her own company, Matrix Power Services Ltd, distributing specialized electrical products throughout North America.

She married Jason Robertson in 2000. They have three children, now in their teens. Being able to raise a family, while expanding a business and volunteering in her community is a privilege Yvonne wants every Canadian to share.

Her professional commitments grew as she developed other products for her companies and brokered new markets. Sahara & Co, a wellness company, now reaches markets across the world. Having expansive small business experience has enabled Yvonne to help many other professionals successfully unlock their entrepreneurial spirit. Her expertise in business and trade have seen her participate in trade missions with provincial and federal governments, advocating for Canada across the world.

The Robertson family have lived for years in Don Valley West.
